What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is where a Physiotherapy consultation occurs over a video link on the internet using a laptop, computer with a webcam, smart phone or tablet.

Who can we offer our Telehealth services to?

  • Private paying patients
  • Workcover including Certificates of Capacity.
  • TAC
  • Private Health Insurance patients, rebates apply for eligible members from April 14 to Sep 30,  2020 for:
Patients who have an existing course of treatment and have been seen over
the last 6 months. For new patients the primary condition being treated is one of post-operative orthopaedic surgery, chronic musculo-skeletal pain eg. osteoarthritis, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and pelvic floor strengthening. **Each health fund may have different eligibility conditions, so it’s important to check with your insurer to see if you can claim this service.

What can you expect?

Consultations aim to replicate the same standard of care you would get in a normal consultation, a history of your condition is taken, assessment of movements and functional strength tests can be observed and then specific advice regarding your condition is then given in the form of stretches, strengthening exercises, postural advice, modalities or whatever other information may be useful. Exercises can be sent via videos so that you have a permanent reference. Followup Telehealth consultation appointments can be made to modify treatment and track your progress just like a face-to-face appointment. Please contact the clinics for a Telehealth appointment.

Once your appointment has been made you will be contacted prior to your appointment time to pay the consultation fee of $50.00. Our preferred method of payment is via credit card over the phone. A receipt can be issued in order to claim for private health rebates if applicable.

Immediately before your appointment you will receive an email from your physiotherapist with a link inviting you to join your appointment session using the appropriate technology. Your consultation can then commence!
