Physiohealth have had a close working relationship with Nick Valiades for many years dating back to his Nunawading days and we have admired but not been surprised by the quality program that he, along with Kirsty and Sam, have built at MLC.
In the past the distance of our practice from the club has been an obstacle which we have now removed with the opening of our Kew clinic. Meanwhile Margaret Hillis has been travelling to the club to provide expert diagnosis, screening, treatment and injury management and liaise with the coaches.
Physiohealth is the best swimming physiotherapy practice in Australia with 8 current physiotherapists who have travelled with Australian and Victorian Teams over the last 15 years. Our expertise in the areas of stroke mechanics, training loads and swimming injury management means we liaise with coaches effectively to minimise the effect of injuries and enhance performance of swimmers.
We will deliver education sessions to MLC swimmers regarding injury prevention and self management in the area of dry land preparation as requested by the coaches.
