Why do you get these pains during pregnancy?
As your baby grows, your posture changes and your ribs lift up and change their shape into a ‘bucket handle’ appearance. As this happens, it is very common to experience sharp pain in the side of the rib cage, or upper back/ neck pain. Often these aches and pain are also associated with headaches. This can be extremely stressful as you may be unable to exercise or work.
What does treatment include:
