My journey in physiotherapy began at Sydney University where I earned my degree in Physiotherapy.

My approach combines evidence-based practices with a compassionate touch, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way and enjoy the journey at the same time. I am most passionate about treating every patient like I would treat an elite athlete, making modifications to suit their circumstances but the approach stays the same. I believe that recovery is a partnership. I focus on understanding each patient’s unique needs and goals, creating personalised treatment plans that empower and motivate. My approach combines evidence-based practices with a compassionate touch, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way and enjoy the journey at the same time.

I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of sporting clubs throughout my career. Currently, I serve as the High Performance Manager for Preston Lions SC. I spent 15 years with Melbourne Victory FC, where I was the Head Physio for the ALW team and also worked with the ALM and academy teams. I was the Head Physio for Football Victoria for 10 years and served as Head Physio for Altona Magic SC for 3 years.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work with various triathlon teams, including ETPA Triathlon and Fluid Movement Triathlon, as well as Swimming Victoria. My experience extends to working as a physio at Maribyrnong Sports College for 5 years, and I’ve held lead physio roles with Hume City SC, Sunshine George Cross SC, and Blacktown City SC, each for 3 years. Additionally, I provided physio support to Sydney Olympic SC in the National Soccer League for 2 years.

When I’m not at the clinic, you can find me pretending to be a home handy man, chilling with family and friends, on a golf course or doing what my wife and daughters tell me to do.

Fun fact – I fractured my neck in my mid 20s while sparring with a friend and developed a better appreciation for physios. I also love to holiday overseas.

Sharbil is available for appointments at our Williamstown clinic.
